We value all of our readers, and strive to provide timely, educational, entertaining, and helpful information in each issue of The Senior Reporter. We're dedicated to helping you to be as active as possible in the second half of life. Life over 50 is a continuum, and The Senior Reporter provides information to help make decisions from the active years to later life when you may need to make some lifestyle changes.
A free program for Seniors, Family Members and Caregivers will be held on Thursday, July 15 from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Peace in Christ Lutheran Church, Hermantown. The church is located two miles west of Target on Maple Grove Road. Expert speakers and exhibitors will present a variety of information about planning for retirement, housing options for seniors including home care, how to decide on the type of housing that is most appropriate, and how to pay for long term care.
The event is organized by The Senior Reporter and the Vital Aging Network. It is sponsored by Westwood Senior Apartments, Benedictine Health Center and Chris Jensen.
The Senior Reporter is always launching new ongoing features, such as gardening, interesting places to walk, and tips for finding a job over 50. You will find helpful information on health and Medicare decisions, housing options, and ways to stay as independent as possible in older life. And of course there are other regular columnists concentrating on nature, history of the area, and challenging word and number puzzles.
